TO SAVE her child’s honour, a mother became the “sacrificial lamb” to a rapist who, with an accomplice, also robbed the family of RM2,000 in cash and jewellery, Harian Metro reported.
To add to her humiliation, the accomplice recorded his friend’s horrendous act on his cellphone.
The two masked men had stormed into the woman’s house at Kampung Melayu Subang in Selangor at about 4.30am on Thursday, waking the housewife and her 12-year-old daughter from sleep.
Her husband was away at work.
The intruders ransacked the house and managed to gather some cash and jewellery, worth about RM2,000.
Not satisfied with the loot, one of the robbers gave an ultimatum to the victims – one of them must surrender herself to him.
The culprit turned a deaf ear to their pleadings and the mother had no choice but to give in so her child would not be harmed.
The victim made a police report after the robbers fled the scene.
Petaling Jaya police chief Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said the police was investigating the matter.
